POST WEDDING BLUES PART 5

Feelings of boredom shortly after all the paparazzi of your wedding ceremony and honeymoon is over. One of our spiritual daughters got engaged and told us they would be getting married shortly after but we advised them to build friendship by enjoying their courtship relationship for a while. It didn’t settle so well with her and her fiance but they later accepted the counsel. They got married the following year, a week after; covid-19 lockdown happened. 😆🤣 They were both locked down in their room. 😆🤣😂 Our daughter called us and started to thank us profusely for they were able to atleast have a friendship to the level of enjoying the early days of their marriage within the four walls of their apartment. There’s a saying that marriage is a prison, choose your prison mate well. 😆🤣😂 I will say marriage makes us stuck together so the wisdom is to choose a “friend” for the journey. Marry Your Friend e get why. The why is that friendship is the life of a happy marriage.Sometimes it is not lack of love but lack of friendship that make unhappy marriage.Friendship in marriage is the spark that lights an everlasting flame. The fire is better prepared from courtship level and fan to flame inside of marriage. This is why our motto is friendship-courtship- marriage not marriage-courtship-friendship. You gerrit. If you go for wedding without being intimately acquitted with your partner through friendship, your post wedidng blues would most likely be this boredom, lack of emotional connection and loss of excitement. Wedding ceremony has its own excitement, chai the joy and attention given to the bride especially 😄😆 but how do you really feel after the music stopped, the event decorator strips the wedding hall naked, your DJ & MC leave and honeymoon is over? Friendship will sustain the flow. After our honeymoon and resumption to work, I didn’t want the joy my wedidng brought to finish 😆😂😅🤣 I fed myself with the memories of our big day and the days ahead of us.I watched our wedding video tayad 😆 I could remember how I kept watching our wedding Video after our honeymoon 😆🤣😂One day my husband walked in and asked if I could stop rewatching it everyday like pe ki lo sele 😆🤣😂 This is a good way to manage your loss of excitement after honeymoon. Relive your wedding day and honeymoon memories. You could also plan a date with your loved ones when you feel the need. That feeling of marriage putting you in a cave of isolation mustn’t be allowed. When your photographs come back from your photographer in a beautiful album, take the time to make an occasion of it. We would gloss over the pictures and recount memories.Pour a few glasses of juice and popcorn, light the candles and cosy up together as you leaf through your beautiful pictures, reminiscing and reliving every treasured moment all over againYou also want to consider living your normal life you enjoy before wedding. Do your thing like reading, writing, hobbies, go after your goals and smash them. There are better things laid ahead for your fulfilment beyond a wedding ceremony.
